Holiday Hire

This was a fun little angsty Christmas story.
Phoebe is such a wonderful female lead. She’s bubbly and bright. It wants the best for those around her. Alexander on the other hand is as grumpy as they come. So when Phoebe starts nanny for Alexander, the Sparks are instantly there. It’s just whether or not they give to each other. I love how they found a common place with each other and were able to find their way.

California meets Texas

Absolutely enjoyed this book so much. The Cartwright family is so cute and hilarious. To have 8 siblings is wild and keeps them on their toes. The angst and nasty ex keep you guessing. So glad so choose better and left the narcissistic ex. He gave me the ick feeling. Definitely enjoyed the holidays.

Really liked this one! Read it so fast! So good!

The main characters were some of the most childish adults I’ve read in a long time. There was no groveling. Not even an apology.

not a fan of the writing style or characters. the plot was somewhat interesting but fell off halfway through. i do think phoebe was a good nanny and she really cared for the boys.

overall, alexander and phoebe and their whole relationship lacked depth. i struggled getting through the last third of the book and ended up skimming most of it. their fighting about their previous partners felt extremely immature and toxic, especially how alexander threw insult after insult at phoebe. and he basically apologized by deciding it was the perfect time to propose to her…and she said yes…

also, the whole “stallion” thing got old real fast. it was funny the first couple of times but when alexander kept referring to his dick as “the stallion” during intimate moments (completely serious about it), it felt super cringy.

This book is so amusing, heartwarming and beautiful!! I just love a holiday single dad romances that has me smiling, has flirty banter and a whole lotta love.

The second book in the Cartwright series gives us that family warmth, sibling banter and drama that we all loved and continue to enjoy with Alexander’s story.

Alexander and Phoebe story is the best kind of escape with sizzling chemistry, heartfelt moments and a lot of joy!

Phoebe is on a break with her boyfriend and has decided to go to Texas, to the Cartwright ranch to take care of two young boys. This will give her the time to reflect and determine what she wants to do with her life and her relationship.

As a single dad Alexander works hard and loves hard. His parents want him to give him help while they are away and maybe open his heart again, so they hire a nanny to help him with his two very adorable and sweet boys.
This doesn’t go over well with Alexander and he fights it until he realizes how very attracted and interesting Phoebe is.
One kiss leads to a friend’s with benefits relationship, then feelings start to arise and Alexander struggles with letting Phoebe go.
Their sexy times are so STEAMY !
This sexy, dirty talking and charming cowboy will have you tingling down to your toes!
So if you’re looking for a fascinating, enticing and heart-gripping romance, Alexander and Phoebe with delight you with their interesting, alluring and heartfelt story.
Just the right FEEL GOOD holiday romance to snuggle up to!!

This was a great holiday read with all the feels. There was plenty of emotion in this one. The backstories of the characters will hit you in the heart. Then what Phoebe is dealing with when it comes to Lance. I did not care for him at all. It made me so happy to see what she found on the ranch with Alexander and his family. Now it gets off to a rocky start when she starts her nanny job for Alexander. This grump cowboy doesn't want the help, but he will soon realize what a godsend she is. She is so good with the boys. I really loved all the activities surrounding the holidays. So much fun for all. Then Alexander does one of the heartfelt things for Phoebe that just stole my heart. It's not an easy road for these two, but journey is worth it. This book delivers on the heat and humor, but the heart and feels is what truly made me love this book. I recommend this one because it shows what is important about the holidays with traditions and family.

This guy is a dick and also said ‘you’re one of those females’ and that is so damn icky to me. No thanks.
