An interesting look into the life of Elvis and Priscilla. The prose was well written though at times it felt like having to read between the lines. However this is to be expected! I'm sure there's many stories untold.

Loved hearing Priscilla’s story and some behind the scenes moments with her and Elvis. This was a great one to read when you want a great celebrity book that keeps you interested. Definitely recommend!

Interesting to hear her perspective. “Elvis was never abusive”…proceeds to tell us about abusive behavior. Good on her leaving, sad so much of her life was controlled by such a disturbing, manipulative man. Her conclusions are wild and I feel like she failed at her stated goals for this book. This did not feel like a loving book, but the sad life story of someone controlled and manipulated for decades by a self-absorbed man-child, and has partially realized this but is still love-blind. Everything she describes as cute and romantic makes me want to gag.

Wow. This will make you lose all respect for Elvis. He was a pedophile, manipulative, abusive, violent, and a controlling partner/husband. I am all shook up.

i’m reviewing the book in regard to the writing style rather than the actions of those in the book bc ofc i would rate elvis ZERO stars based on those actions bc it is absolutely despicable what he did to a 14 y/o who he would call LITTLE GIRL in the beginning of their relationship.

the book was an easy read bc the writing style was so simple and dare i say it BORING, that the book would’ve been a DNF if the material wasn’t so interesting. it was nice to read this book after watching “priscilla”, and in this case, the movie was better than the book bc it focused a lot more on priscilla.

This book just made me feel icky. I feel like Priscilla was groomed from a young age and treated as another commodity of fame. I found it interesting she wrote this book because other books didn’t paint Elvis in the best light because I don’t think this book did that either.
