I think Priscila went through a lot in her relationship with Elvis. It definetely wasn't a healthy relationship and at the moment of writing this book, I don't think she fully realized how emotionaly abusive it all was.
I listened to the audiobook, so it was really cute hearing her little laughs at some mories and recolections, however it also felt awkward to hear that same cute laugh right after hearing how she would find excuses for Elvis' toxic behavior.
I was really happy when she started findind herself, even if what lead to those moments was realizing how the relationship she always hoped for would never be.
Her life next to Elvis was both wonderful and sad. I think she found those wonderfull moments so great that she was willing to put up with the rest.

I loved the book and couldn’t put it down! Celebrities get away with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Some of the blame needs to be placed on Priscilla’s parents for allowing that foolishness with Elvis, but it was a different time/age. Priscilla truly loved him and his downfall accelerated when she left!!! Poor Elvis and Priscilla! Fame is a hell of a drug! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m very shocked by her age and all that was allowed to happen. I was just kinda sitting there the whole time they were in Germany with my mouth open wondering why.
But emmm yeah other than that, an intriguing insight into her life growing up and her world with Elvis. It very much focused on their relationship and cut off pretty much exactly when they separated. So a rose tinted glasses account in some ways.
The book opened with his death, which was a bit jarring as well.
Overall, well written and narrated. I would recommend it.

It can be super hard for me to read memoirs but I think I could reread this one over and over. Everything is written beautifully and she leaves you feeling satisfied. Loved it. She's highly misunderstood.
I am glad I watched this before seeing the movie. It’s always interesting to learn about people’s true selves, behind closed doors.

This is a great insight into their relationship. It really was textbook grooming. He coercively controlled her for so many years from the age of 14, she was not even allowed a part time job, her entire life revolved around being his future wife, and then wife. I am very happy that she was able to regain control of her life. Maybe one day she will accept what he has done but that's her own journey to go on.
