Finally, the last book of the series. I am glad to be done with them. I think it wrapped everything up well but I have to say I wouldn't recommend this series. Ave Maria never really became much of a likeable character so I was just happy the series was finally over.

The series is growing on me but I do find the main character a bit of a self centred bitch.

Like her writing style. Easy read, enjoyable characters, satisfying ending.

These characters end up in a solid place; I’d like another installment set 10-20 years in the future so I can find out how everything turns out.

A fairly strong finish for this series. This particular book had some marriage and childrearing thoughts that really resonated with me. An enjoyable read.

I am sad this series is over. Thank you for the adventures!

There wasn't a lot to this book in terms of solid plots or climaxes.

Charming little froth of a book about Ave Maria and her family and friends. Their daughter Etta has just gotten married and various pitfalls trip up life in he hollow.

BrilliaNT, excellent, what elsa can I saY

The Big Stone Gap book series was a wonderful read. I really enjoyed getting to know the characters....Ave Maria, Jack Mac, Iva Lou, Fleeta, Pearl...and all the others. Great stories, made all the more real because the author is from Big Stone Gap, VA. I've heard that they are making the first novel into a movie. Should be interesting. I feel that most books turned into movies do not usually turn out well, with a few exceptions. I highly recommend this series.
