I loved this book! The pacing was perfect, nice character development and flow. A little cliche at times, but Karen made it work.
I will admit, I did solve it about 50-60% of the way through. Not because of any real evidence, just a gut feeling haha

In all honesty, the last like five to seven chapters saved this book. I felt like we didn’t really get to explore the major situation of the novel and most of the plot was focused on romantic relationships as opposed to Simon and who is responsible. However, I loved the character growth, especially of Addy.

Loved the characters in this story, I think they are well-written and their relationships are well written. I think the real-life consequences and emotions are nicely included and it doesn't feel too fake. I enjoyed the story being told from different perspectives allowing you to know the characters on a more personal level. I think the mystery was well written, the twists kept going until the end, and it was hard to put down. I enjoyed Addy coming into her own and becoming sure of herself. I also like how they had Connor coming out and how he struggled with it and how his relationships were affected.

I absolutely adore this book. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I just couldn't stop reading it. I love the way Karen M. McManus designed each character and I love the ending. To be honest, I definitely had my suspicions and closer towards the end one of them was actually that Simon killed himself. I didn't know why but that was one of the possibilities my mind created. This book is mysterious and each character is different. The main characters: Brownyn, Nate, Addy and Cooper, all have character glow-ups and definitely go through major changes in the book. I loved Nate and Bronwyn's relationship and how Addy got more confident about herself. I also love how Cooper accepted himself and I love his and Kris's relationship as well. This book is one of my favourite books and one of the first books I would name if anyone asked me for recommendations. I didn't want the book to end!
