I loved this book. Not only is the hook excellent and not only did the mystery well handled, but I also loved getting to know the characters and watching them develop. This is a first novel, so I hope McManus can keep putting out books this good.

This book caught my eye from the very beginning and didn’t lose it once. An interesting gripping book with lovable characters
I would rather give it a 3.5, it’s a good book, but honestly the title is kind of out of line, as none of them was lying.
Bronwyn and Nate have way more narative interventions than Cooper and Addy and it seems like the main focus of the plot starts shifting towads their friendship/love story, rather than Simon’s death.
There are also some cliches that are bugging me a little and I think Jake’s backstory should have been presented in more detail to give people a better idea about his personality and behavioural issues.
Anyway, the book is an easy read, it’s not too long and doesn’t require that much brain power to get through, so it’s perfect for reading on vacation or while traveling.
