Even though I actually found a lot of (not all of) the elements and “surprises” in this book to actually be quite predictable, I did quite enjoy it. As evidenced by the fact that I stayed up until 6:00 am to finish it. At first, I thought that there were going to be more parallels to The Breakfast Club, and maybe there were and I am just not up to date on my ’80s movies. I did get a Pretty Little Liars vibe from it (the TV show, I actually never did read the books *hangs head in shame*) if A posted everything to Tumblr instead of using secret messages to the girls. Simon’s About That app seemed really familiar, and I can’t remember if it was a different book I read or a TV show or movie that I saw it in, but it definitely isn’t the first time that I saw a school gossip blog or one that people were afraid of.
The only way that I can think of to properly get my thoughts and opinions out on this book is to look at each character separately, and to do that I need to use spoilers, so you have been warned:

it was alright 🤷 nothing amazing, nothing awful. very tropey, sometimes in a good way, sometimes definitely not. all in all, kind of forgettable ngl
Read this a few years ago cause I saw my younger cousin reading it while on vacation together.
At the time I thought it was good though I hated the ending. But over time my feelings towards this has gone down and down. Whenever I see this book or this author I roll my eyes. I can’t even help it at this point. Lol. I own The cousins by this author as well. Don’t know why I bought that but meh. I’ll probably read it eventually though I definitely in no rush.
I actually only recently talked to my cousin about this book (lol) and she didn’t like it much either and thought it was stupid. Was fun to bond over a stupid book.

This book is the most amazing I’ve read in this genre. Strongly recommend.
