Having not been saturated in contemporary YA/NA, I found myself completely immersed in this book that was artfully written by Shea Olsen. The characters held me rapt while the pace propelled from underneath. The romantic tension was reminiscent of Twilight Saga/50 Shades, but there was a pleasant touch of Cruel Intentions in the heroine Charlotte that the aforementioned lacked. I applaud Shea's nerve in tackling a character in these circumstances, because that line between a strong and weak character is a thin one, and I think she nailed it.

Working on this book right now--it's such a fun one, everyone! Get ready to be scandalized, seduced, and romanced by this one-of-a-kind book!

DNF about halfway through. Thanks to Harlequin Teen for the ARC, but this was just not my cup of tea. I just couldn't really connect to the characters, and didn't feel that pull to find out what was going to happen next.

there wasn't much flow in the writing and the main character was lame and a pathetic wimp.

This book was a classic boy meets girl, however I did like the little things about it that gave it an oomph every now and then and the descriptions were quite well done.

description

After the last two fantasies I've read this book was really welcome.
I really enjoyed it. My rating is actually 3.50. I couldn't give it 4 stars because it wasn't that good, but as I already said I enjoyed it probably because I read it at the right time! ♥
The things I didn't like: 1. Charlotte wanted to give up to Stanford to go on tour with Tate... like wtf, but that wasn't her dream so I understood eventually...
2. Tate bothered me a little with his exaggerate need of protection for Charlotte and how he always choosed in her place... SHE'S MATURE!! She can make her own choices!!
3. I didn't liked how she moved apart from her family and her best friend because of Tate and how she always lied to them about her relationship with him.

Anyway, overall I liked it. It was a really cute romantic book! ♥♥♥
