My emotions are wrecked....The highs, the lows, joy, love, loss, deception, redemption, this story had it all. This was an absolutely beautiful story I loved these characters so much. Per normal Kel and Aurelia fashion the make you fall fast and hard for their characters with their fire and determination. At the end of this I was about in tears, it was so sad yet so freaking sweet. And of course I need a novella from the FMC's cousin because these do such an amazing job with their supporting characters that I can't help but want more.

The FMC has a lot of drama and flat out bullshit to overcome.
His patience and devotion to her is so swoony.
I had the bad guy WRONG in this one and was totally thrown by the plot twist!!

This was a fun and quirky, enemies to lovers story, with elements of Hades and Persephone. Reagan is complicated and her character develops and changes throughout the story, her personality remains the same but the challenges she faces are amplified by her stolen memories returning. Caius is an eons old primordial, who has been locked in Tartarus for five thousand years. He is confident, caring, humourous and hot. A great leader and resigned to his life. Together these two are incredible. The tension is fantastic, the pace is fast and the action is really great. Loved these two together

I love this world more and more with every new story!! I devoured this story!! It had major Hades/Persephone vibes and that's my jam! There's magic, secrets and such a huge twist that I never saw coming!! And the tension and spice between Reagan and Cauis was so satisfying!! Reagan is tough, she's feisty and she's no pushover. Her character growth was beautiful. Cauis is so confident, immediately devoted and protective. And he's also wise in knowing not to push Reagan and so patient with her. I loved him!! He brought the whole alpha vibe without being forceful. I laughed and I cried so much! In addition to the main characters, you will absolutely fall in love with the side characters that are Reagan's family (Jo, Clara and even Nog). If you've been reading along since the first series of this world, you'll be super happy to see the surprise appearance of Dani and Elias!! Ahh, I can't gush enough about the perfection that is this book!!

Beauty and the Beast, Hades and Persephone, what more can you ask for in a book? Two of my favorite stories, taken, thrown into the blender, and Mate Me came out.
I can't say enough of how amazing this story is. A strong but stubborn FMC meets the very old, seen a lot of life, and has a bad reputation MMC, earned or not, we shall see.
There is deception, there is love, there is banter, and a corgi!!! I couldn't stop reading and I can't wait for the next one in this series to come out.
