A wonderfully told story of an important figure in the fashion world who is not a household name (at least not in my household...). I learned a lot about Schiaparelli's life and accomplishments. Also, two things: being different from your family is OK and there's nothing wrong with you, and it may take a while to find success in life is wonderful for young children and adults. Beautiful illustrations to boot.

What a gorgeous and inspiring book! Beautiful illustrations. Fantastic story telling in biographical form. Pushing yourself and working hard to make your dreams come true. Grit. I love it.

the illustrations are really beautiful (and have fun touches, like the legs sticking out of flowers), and I love learning about Elsa! I also really enjoyed the brief yet informative end notes.

Bellissime le illustrazioni e bellissima la storia di Elsa. Sarebbe ottima da leggere a bambine e ragazze per spronarle ad usare sempre l’immaginazione.

I like a lot of this but the structure is a bit strange with it being in the first person. The backmatter is a little disjointed but informative and includes options for further reading.

A beautiful and informative book about the life of Elsa Schiapareli and how she dared to be different. The story is on the long side so it would be better for an elementary audience.

Picked it up because of the cover. I didn’t even know what it was about and I had never heard of Elsa Schiaparelli before. I’m glad I was able to learn about someone new and in such a fun, colorful way.

Really excellent biography for younger kids about Else Schiaparelli -- and that's not an easy subject to turn into an engaging picture book, but this one is lovely and well done. Great on themes of beauty and artistry and following an unconventional life.

A beautiful collaboration of such an inspiring story. I adore Elsa's authenticity, her courage to stay true to herself and living on her purpose.
