I am completely shattered and wiping tears right now, this story broke me in the best way possible and it will stay with me for a long time. I wish the ending was a bit different but still I enjoyed this journey immensely

I NEEDED MORE OF ARIN AND ESSIYA TOGETHER!!! It was a must after going through all of that, for us to get scenes of them domestic together. Heartbreaking how Arin kept waiting at the bridge for 10 years until Essiya's return, he was such a fool in love ughhhhh. And the sesame wrapped candies...........I need a novella of them!! PLEASE SARA!!!!

It's been two weeks since I finished this book and honestly by now I would be hard-pressed to give a good outline of what happened in it, which is a bummer since I loved The Jasad Heir so much. I didn't find the plot as compelling, and most of the resolutions felt too easy. I will say, I didn't have an awful time with it, I still really enjoyed the characters, and I would pick another book by this author in the future.
