I was so exorcised for this book and reread the first in preparation for this book but unfortunately the magic seemed to die. The book was fine but I found myself not caring what happened. Well written but just didn’t keep me as captivated as the first. Bummer.

If I could rate this a million stars, I would. This book was written for those of us who love adventure, fantasy, comedic relief, the SLOWEST of slow burns, and the most painful yet happy ending you could think of. The characters written by Sara had so much life & personality. From the villagers, to the magical creatures, to the rulers of the kingdoms & the Awaleen. Her writing was refreshing & kept me hooked throughout the series. I will be returning to this world throughout the years because it’s too beautiful to just put away. This was one of the best fantasy and love stories I’ve read to date.
