I loved Mac and Archer. I think Archer is the least intense of the mulvaney Brothers so far but Mac was his perfect match. And that cliffhanger ending!! Wow! Can't wait to see what's next.

I was very interested in learning more about the most mysterious Mulvaney brother and Lunatic did not disappoint. Archer is full of surprises and emotional depth that I could not have anticipated.
Archer was always the one brother who seemed distant and removed from the rest and now after getting his own story I was finally able to understand why. I loved getting his story and seeing his relationships with the family from his perspective. Always a joy to be back with the Mulvaney's.
Lunatic starts with Archer's backstory, which is tragic, but you get to see his protective and determined instincts at such a young age. You also learn that due to his tragic upbringing he always kept those close to him at a distance, thus developing his persona. His entire life is thrown for a loop when is is forced to work on a secret government project with the one person that gets under his skin.
Mackenzie Shepard is a great counter to Archer's more frenetic energy. Mac and Archer's dynamic is one of balance and watching their relationship change so drastically was so much fun to see. Out of all of the relationships so far in this series I think this one moved the quickest, due to their shared history, which made for exciting personal developments that I was not expecting. I loved the expected surprise because it took the story in such an unexpected direction.
Overall another great entry in this great series. There is a great ending that gives you an idea of where the last story is heading, which I cannot wait!!!!

I enjoyed this one. There were some minor changes to the formula... there was actually a relationship that had been in place longer than 24 hours before forever was declared. That's pretty much the only change, but the insta love has been my biggest annoyance throughout the series.
Archer and Mackenzie are great together. The spice is definitely spicing, and the nickname game is on point.
The crime in this one is as horrific as the others, but the family solve it and make those responsible pay as usual...I do enjoy when the whole family get together.
Finally. As if I needed a reason to immediately start the final novel, Onley throws in a cliffhanger (also new!!)

OMG, this book! It's funny, and sexy, and very dark and fairly disturbing. I can't imagine what else you could possibly need ;)
Archer and Mac's story was just so much fun to read. I loved their relationship when they were somewhat-antagonistic, but I adored it when they let themselves like/love each other--and in both iterations, of course, they are off-the-charts hot together. Truly, they are a fabulous couple.
If you're not familiar with the series, OTT violence plays a fairly large role in these books (as the author says, there are "graphic depictions of violence against people who deserve it" delivered by psychopath MCs--think a whole found family of Dexters who not only permanently right wrongs but also find their queer HEAs along the way) and the bad guys are beyond reprehensible. These books are definitely not for the faint of heart. It's kind of an odd juxtaposition to have such a swoony, sexy, dirty romance (reading this in public is perhaps not the best idea) with so much really disturbing stuff going on, both on and off the page. These books aren't going to be for everyone, but OMG they are *definitely* for me.
Lunatic is the 6th book in the series and though I loved it (and cackled like a loon at so many parts in it) and it is a complete story for Archer and Mac, I definitely felt a little bit lost at times since I wasn't at all familiar with the family and their dynamics going in. I'm not sorry I read this one right now, but I am absolutely going to go back and start from the beginning ASAP to get caught up with the rest of the Mulvaneys, hopefully before book 7 comes out :)
