It was incredible, I loved everything about this book. Ryan and Indy own my entire heart since the first chapter. I fell in love with Ryan Shay in one line. The found family, the family is absolutely amazing in this book. I recognize myself in both Ryan and Indy, Ryan with the introvert side and the fear of being manipulated, Indy with the book lover side obviously and her love language.
Speaking of that, the love language of Ryan ? I’m on my knees for this man

Just finished Right Move by Liz Tomforde and wow, Indy and Ryan are carrying way more baggage than what first meets the eye.

Indy might be a flight attendant, but her real baggage comes from being constantly overlooked. She’s always the reliable “go-to” friend, but when she needs someone, everyone suddenly becomes too busy. Ryan’s past is filled with betrayal and heartbreak. He’s been taken advantage of by people he trusted, leaving him guarded and hesitant to open up — which feels fitting given the pressures of his career as a professional basketball player.

I’m a sucker for a good fake dating trope, and this one did not disappoint. The layers of their relationship slowly peeled back to reveal a beautiful, tender connection that makes you want to believe in love again. Bonus points for princess treatment and remembering the small things.

I also loved seeing familiar faces from Book 1. Getting those little glimpses into their lives made the story feel even more complete and connected.

the first half of the book was really good. Ryan is so sweet, I like him way better than Zander’s. (He’s also a bit possessive, but it didn’t bother me that much). The things he does for Indy are very cute. Absolute princess treatment.
He bought her a bed. Puts her coffee in the fridge so it’s cold when she wakes up, gets flowers, learns sign language
!! I was like, these are the perfect tropes! It’s fakedating, grumpy/sunshine and forced proximity.
But then somehow at like 60% the author throws in a miscommunication trope that leads to the characters confessing their love/fondness of each other multiple times and then something comes in between and they misunderstand each other again. That annoyed me a little. I know they had some issues in the past, but still. Just wait a little and let each other talk instead of running off and interpreting things that aren’t true.
