I forgot how sad A Touch of Ruin was. A Game of Retribution made me cry again,for the same scenes! Even though I knew what was coming and what would happen, it was still heartbreaking and felt new from Hades perspective.

I absolutely love the way Scarlett St. Clair retells these Greek myths. I love the world she has created. I love the characters. Her stories are heartfelt and relatable.

There's a lot of growth for Hades and Persephone in this novel, and also a lot of grief for both of them. I cried more than once!

I thought I would be able to make it through this series by skipping the Persephone book but I was wrong. There whole book is the same situation happening over and over. I cared way more about Hepheastus and Aphrodite than Hades and Persephone.
