This was funny, and sweet, and wild, and for some reason, I actually liked this book better than the first book in the series. That might partly be because I enjoyed Ryan and Sam more as an established couple, I’m not sure. The story was exciting, too, and so, so funny. I would like it if it was tightening up a bit, though. I’ll give this book 3,5 stars, rounding up.
So this was just as stupidly delightful as the first one? Ahhhh I had such a great time listening to this audiobook! The expansion of the story into more of an overarching series plot was well-done, and I really enjoyed all the new characters (though no surprise, Zero is my favorite). Just the best. I love this series, it is the MOST fun.
Actual Rating; 4.35
All the talk abour sex did start to get a little annoying, some of it was exessive. Some was a litrle repetitive bur again these are small criticisms. Overall I loved it though I think I enjoyed the firsg one slightly more.

While not as completely silly and joyful as 'The Lightning-Struck Heart', 'A Destiny of Dragons' still retains its predecessor's tone and mood and compelling writing. A little darker, a little more serious, but still a lot of fun. All our favourites return, although the Prince could have done with a bigger role, we see Sam and the gang on a quest this time not to save the Prince but to save Verania from the big bad. I didn't have any crying jags during this one as I did in the first, but still enjoyed this immensely. Bring on the next book

I really enjoyed the book, but think that the first book was better. The characters are as vibrant and funny as before, however I’d expected way more about ruff, all the talk about him being the cornerstone and all but at the end of the book they leave him behind??? I felt like they could’ve just skipped that entire plot line if they weren’t gonna do anything with it. The rest I liked tho, the myrin storyline is intense and I’m exited to see what sam has in store for us.
Unsurprisingly The Best Book Ever
Absolutely more brilliant than the first. This book was so human and real to me that I often had to stop reading to collect my thoughts.
Klune's writing only gets better. My only worry is the repetitive streak of conversations that sometimes go on for far too long and are often hard to get through, although some of them are amazing and funny and definitely worth it.
I was gripped by this book by it's sheer force alone
I loved the human nature of our characters, of loss and the seriousness of destiny. Sam realizes now that death is real and is coming and we still arent sure if he can save everyone.
I stayed up till five in the morning because I was entranced. I love this story and I love these characters and I continue to love everything that Klune brings to the table. And I am not ready for the next book.

I am still very much in love with Sam and his fellowship. That has been such an emotional ride. I think I was almost as jealous as Ryan. ;)
So looking forward to the next book even though I'm also a bit worried. My poor soul.
I WANT MY OWN EMO TEENAGE DRAGON.
