The humor is a bit campy but it worked for me, I found FMC to be charming. And its really nice to read some science fiction, that's more science and less barbarians in space

A hilarious and engaging space opera. A strong FMC who buys a broken down ship, a broody MMC who joins the mission to find his brother. I put it down to read a skip the line loan and forgot how good it was. :)

Just sort of meh? I wasn’t interested in the characters or the plot. I needed more backstory, more emotion, more world building. I was bored so often. The book wasn’t bad, it just truly needed more.

This was such a fun read! Very funny, sweet, a little steamy, and all with a decent amount of action.

Hot people in space shooting laser blasters, what more could you want?

This book had a lot of the right pieces. It had a sturdier plot than many romance books have and the right components to create an enemies-to-lovers arc, but it was a bit underdeveloped and overwritten. Most of the conflict was manufactured by Temper who was a somewhat annoying narrator, flip flopping between self-deprecation and easily wounded arrogance. She also had a penchant for trying to be funny or succumbing to lust during high-stakes moments that just didnt work for me. I wish the enemies part had been more drawn out and that Arcadio had his own distrust or judgments that needed to be overturned. It seemed like he was pretty into Temper from the beginning and she was just stomping around making assumptions about him. I won't be reading on in the series, but I do love the cover art.
