I can't for the life me finish this book.

Not my usual cup of tea. Hubby decided to expand my genre choice. Actually pretty good. Started off like the Red Rising but read more like Hunger Games. Story line is interesting though don't yet feel for the characters as much. Young adult target audience which makes this book pretty easy to read. Actually look forward to read the rest of the trilogy.
I'm so glad that I've reread this book! The end was too fast-paced in my opinion, but I do really like the style of writing, the characters & the world building!

Este libro era un tesoro escondido en mi librero, que hace mucho tuve que haber descubierto. Sus páginas me mostraron una historia adictiva y llena de emociones. Si bien tenía intenciones de terminarlo antes de que acaba el 2024, no tuve necesidad de forzar la lectura porque solo quería leerlo y saber más de Mare, Cal y Maven (estos últimos con mucho "material de novio literario").
Conecté demasiado con el libro. Y sería un tonto si no calificara este libro con 5 estrellas, porque ¿qué más esperaría? Fue un libro adictivo, con buenos personajes (llenos de matices) y con una trama excelente.
