I like the mix of fantasy and technology and that there is so many different magical powers.
Good story telling and I liked that the main character is smart and thinks before she acts most of the time. I also really enjoyed the world and world building, especially in the last part of the book when we got to see more of the worlds.
I like the characters, sometimes they feel a little flat but at other times you can see their complexities and challenges clearly.
The things I don't like about the book was that the pacing was too fast. I wanted more time and complexity in the story and policitics. This is somewhat explained in the end though. The plot twist was kind of easy to predict. With more time and a slower pace I feel like the emotional scenes would be a lot better.
Overall, it has it weaker sides but also good sides. I look forward to continue the series and find out what happens in this universe. It did a great job to imerse the reader and I wanted to continue reading to find out what happens next!
