Super cute read! Not only a story about romance (two romances, in fact!) but also a beautiful story about friendship. Holly and Ivy are two friends who meet while at a party, and instantly bond. Many years later, Holly finds herself going through a rough time and in need of a getaway. Ivy, an artist planning on going on an art retreat, tells Holly she will cancel to be with her - but Holly asks to go in her stead. The two go on their separate trips - swapping vacations for the holidays - each finding romance along the way.

I loved Holly and Ivy's friendship, as well as reading each of their blossoming romance. This was definitely a fun, cozy read - paired perfectly with a blanket and warm tea!

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC!

Meh. I felt like the characters were undeveloped and the relationships rushed. I would have preferred just one of the friends get a full story over the two half plots we got. Conflicts and resolutions alike were rushed and didn't feel real - forgiveness came much too easily and romantic gestures lacked depth.

Everything I’ve ever wanted in a holiday romance! There were sexy men, Christmas everything, and a friendship to last the ages! If you’re fans of The Holiday, I highly recommend!!

Cute Christmas Love Story
lighthearted fast-paced

This was a cute, light, and festive (Christmas in July for me lol) read with a fun holiday swap premise! The Holiday Honeymoon Switch is a breezy rom-com about two best friends, Holly and Ivy (yes, really, and I got the song stuck in my head), who trade vacation plans when Holly’s wedding gets called off last-minute. One heads to a snowy cabin, the other to a tropical honeymoon, and both end up finding unexpected romance along the way.

The dual POVs made the story feel dynamic, and I loved the strong friendship between the leads. It was honestly the emotional core of the book. The romances, while sweet, leaned a little too heavy on insta-love for my taste. I found myself wishing we had more time to really see the relationships develop, especially since the conflicts resolved so quickly.

Also: Matt and Abby really deserved a stronger comeuppance! The lack of closure or confrontation there left me feeling a bit unsatisfied.

Still, if you’re in the mood for something light, low-stakes, and Hallmark-esque, this is a cozy holiday pick that pairs perfectly with a blanket and hot cocoa. (Or on the beach with a cold drink).

Cute!! I liked how it was a holiday read that just happened to take place over Christmas vs Christmas being the whole story. Also enjoyed that both fmc’s fessed up to the switch very early on so it wasn’t hanging over me as a third act breakup throughout the whole book (my biggest pet peeve with switch trope)
