I enjoyed this book, it was cute and I really like the two différent stories, but it dors feel like you don't get much of each girl's story !
As a character I prefered Ivy!
The epilogue felt unnecesary to me, it was just giving information that we could have easily imagined on our own.
All in all a cute cosy read for this Time of the Year!

I love a “switching lives” storyline, and I like that both characters got to go on a unique adventure. I wish the dialogue felt more authentic and that the timing of the events didn’t feel so rushed so that the relationships had more time to develop instead of feeling so instant. Read when you can’t decide between a sunny or snowy getaway.

This was such a wholesome read for the holiday season. Best Friends Holly and Ivy (yes, it gave me a chuckle) met while at a party and have been inseparable ever since. On the night Before Holly's wedding - her fiance claims that he's in love with someone else and can't go through with marrying her.
Ivy willing to do anything to help her friend in her time of need, agrees to trade vacations. Ivy will go on the honeymoon, while Holly will seclude herself in the middle of nowhere as she's off the grid. I love it when characters trade places or experiences, so this was perfect for me. Upon Holly's arrival at her rental cabin in the Hudson Valley, she realizes that her host was once her high school Academic rival. I couldn't help but swoon over these two characters - at times it felt a bit rushed as Holly had just gotten out of a relationship, but the two managed to connect on a deeper level while there.
In Hawaii, Ivy forms an immediate bond with a bartender who helps her get revenge on Holly's ex (who happens to be on the honeymoon with his new interest). Although not what she's looking for, she can't help but fall for this hot bartender who has quite the backstory. Out of the two, I felt more invested in Holly's plotline and connection.
For such a fun read, I applaud the author for not shying away from difficult topics that helped round out our cast of characters and made them more relatable to readers.

This was such a sweet holiday read! There were times that I wanted more from the story (just an extra 20-50 pages would have been perfect), but it was still a perfect pre-holiday read!
