Just like the first one, this one was again such a pleasure to read. In the first book I already fell in love with the characters etc. And this book only made that even more so!
It was sometimes a bit predictable, but that made it no less fun for me!

For a second book, this was quite good! We got to see more of Morrigan's friends and new charcuterie within the magical school she now attends. They're is beautiful world crafting that builds on the last book, with fun additions that they use to forward the plot. I read this as an audiobook, the narrator was FANTASTIC!!

Wonderful and mesmerizing. The only series that I've read so far gives me the closest feeling to reading Harry Potter. As an adult reading a middle-grade book, it came as no surprise that some of the plots are predictable. However, I do appreciate Townsend treats her intended audience with respect: no preaching and her characters are not one dimensional, not black or white.
