The Scent of Guilt
I read Bad to the Bone first, and was impressed. The Scent of Guilt had less of an impact, so it got 3 stars, instead of 4. I wish I could have given the book 3 1/2 stars, because the characters were as many-faceted and engaging; the detective work was just as satisfying and the story was just as well told. However, the plot seemed a little strained. It could just be the result of reading the books back to back. They are both good reads and I look forward to more in the future.

Really enjoyed the character development in this second DI Bliss book, and looking forward to seeing how he develops as the series progresses.
