They say that greed and power corrupts

More than this was going on in Honor, Alabama. Regina Reynold's brother Mike had been murdered and she was determined to find out who and why. She was a stubborn news reporter who brought her own corrupt father down to the ire of her brother and sister who promptly disowned her. But she wanted to know anyway. She used her sleuthing skills to get answers to the ire of the Sheriff, Phillip Robb whom she had had a long-time crush on. When she came back to Honor to get answers, it seemed as though she and Robb picked right up where they were after four years. They could no longer deny their feelings for each other. But Robb was trying to protect Reggie and keep her safe. If something were to happen to her he would not forgive himself, especially after what happened to his wife and child, Reggie was putting herself in harm's way to find out the answers she was looking for. It all revolved around politics, greed, and power. Reggie insisted that she knew her brother and he was not who the police was making him out to be.

Mallory had my head spinning trying to figure out this "who done it" and why. When I thought I had it figured out, I was totally wrong. I enjoyed reading this story and I'm glad to see that Reggie and Robb seem to be getting their HEA. It was time for them to quit pussyfooting around with their feelings and give in to each other and give their relationship a try.
