I’ve never had 0 thoughts on a book after reading, but I genuinely just don’t even know if it’s good or bad. It’s just eh

First time reading this series. I am always leery of authors reading their work so approached this with caution. Happy to report he does a good job.
I also give the first title in a series a little leeway, as sometimes it takes a few books to get the characters and pacing and dialogue in the right place. As expected it was a little rough in places - sometimes I found myself losing the thread. But he has a light and airy style with intriguing characters and almost too complex plots.
I will read the next one.
