Old white mediocre curmudgeon fancies himself a slave owner and speaks about "blacking up" for the night after putting on a mud face mask. DNF. Trash.

Who killed the fucking chicken???

Cute, cozy, European mystery - definitely recommend the audiobook!

Hmmmm. So I actually liked the main character and his film nerdiness. I got the humour and I loved the audiobook narration. But in an effort to avoid small-town-murder-mystery clichés, the author creates a really complicated last half of the book. Maybe it was because I was listening to the audio version, maybe I was distracted, but the payoff was just meh.
