If you are thinking of reading this as the description on Amazon sells this as suitable for fans of Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club then don’t bother. At least Osman develops his characters into lovable human, relatable characters knitted together by a plot that is believable and honest. This on the other hand like comparing Michelin Star to a Pub Carvery.

It was okay, I liked the characters and their quirkiness, particularly Valerie. However I found there were some inconsistencies and plot holes that just played on my mind throughout reading. The ending was also a bit disappointing.

The chickens were the only thing I enjoyed about this book. Justice for Ava Gardener.

Difficult to care for the main characters. Plot twists a bit too easy to guess.
