I give it 3.5. It started off strong, but got a little slow in the middle before finishing pretty strong. My biggest issue was that while I thought the relationship between the two leads was adorable, I thought they lacked passion and spontaneity. I honestly found myself looking forward to reading the scenes involving the couple who will be the leads in the next book more so than ones the actual book was about.

Being a poor duke did seem to be a character flaw, right? I didn't enjoy this one much, it just felt really dragged out and I didn't care about them as much.

Very cute read! I had fun with this story. There’s quite a few couples who fall in love in this story. I absolutely loved Griffin’s character and his romance with Biddy. The main romance was between Julian and Elizabeth. I liked them both very much too although the obstacles and problems facing them seemed rather obvious to me.

This was wonderfully mild and easy to read. Perfect for cleaning the house and sorting laundry.
Nice to have the leads just be nice to each other.

I received an e-ARC copy of No Other Duke Will Do from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was a little bit hesitant getting into this book. Elizabeth and Charlotte have been the concerned overbearing, mother henning, very much on the shelf and expected to be spinsters older sisters in the past two books. They weren't that bad in Megan's book, [b:The Trouble with Dukes|29775870|The Trouble with Dukes (Windham Brides, #1)|Grace Burrowes|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1463553096s/29775870.jpg|50142074] but in Anwen's story, [b:Too Scot to Handle|32798151|Too Scot to Handle (Windham Brides, #2)|Grace Burrowes|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1479500742s/32798151.jpg|53393980], they were almost too much. So I was nervous with with book. Turns out I didn't need to be.

Elizabeth and Charlotte are close, they've paired themselves against the world and men in particular. When they are sent to a house party in Wales both are planning to endure and then go back to their original plans. But Elizabeth finds herself drawn to Julian the Duke of Haverford, lord of the crumbling castle and drowning in debt.

I really adored these two. Julian woo's Elizabeth and pays attention in a way that she has never received before. Elizabeth finds herself falling in love with Julian and instead of fighting it because it will change all her plans, she throws herself in headlong.

I enjoyed Griffin and I actually really wanted to spend more time with Radnor and Glenys. They were cute and I actually wanted to be a part of their romance as it continued. I will admit that Sherbourne is an interesting character. I'm excited that he will be in Charlotte's book. I also really really want Turnbull to come back. I like him.

I thought the love story was sweet and how they were friends. Although the timing seemed off and was confusing. The book takes place during a 3 week house party but they were "friends" after 1 day? I thought it had been a few days then the book said otherwise. There were lots of moving parts and characters to this story (not having read the other books in the series) and I did wish for more of Gladys and Radnor. They had such fun banter at the beginning.

Eh...not as stellar as the last books. This was mainly talking. Standing around and thinking. And more talking. It takes place at a house party which I love, but nothing happens. And the "villain" is a really weird character that doesn't make sense. He hates aristocrats for sitting around and doing nothing and making money on mines...but he wants to own a mine. And the main obstacle is also kind of nonsense because at the end it just gets waved away. Which the reader already knew. There was no mystery about it.

In contrast, there was no romance. There was more sex than romance. And by that I mean there were sex scenes, but nothing explicit. We just...knew it was happening. Kind of fade to dark but not really.
