Lol....I had to read this in an anthology textbook, and I legit don't know if this is the version I read or not, but since I read it(wasted my time on it for the sake of school) imma just say I read this version. Ha.
Anyway, this passage by Plato is basically about hidden, wanting to deny truths, coming forth into the light. Once knowledge in known, it almost can never be not unknown. Yeah....I might say some other things later on, but for now...see ya.

Remarkable fable on the importance of education shining a bright light through the darkness of our minds.
What is also telling is that Plato had already known that education should be inculcated as play into the lives of children and not something that’s forced down their throat . What’s is even more remarkable is that he brings up the importance of educating women alongside men.
A must read for every year .

Obviously since it’s a philosophy book it is not for the faint of heart, but those those with an adequate understanding and interest in the mind, it’s an addictive read. I’m a junior in High School, if that’s any good point of reference for you!

I could hardly understand it. Thank you YouTube for giving me a nice visual analysis of this so I could actually understand what it was saying. How do I brush up on this type of language? :(
