This is my first time listening to an audiobook ahead of publication and I’m glad I did! I didn’t realize that the print and E-book versions have been available for about a year but that’s ok. I think for this style of book, audio is definitely the way to go. I can’t remember who said it but this book and the way it’s performed is similar to Sadie. Having multiple narrators absolutely added to the overall experience.
In terms of the story itself: I was intrigued after a few chapters and by about halfway into it I was hooked. I had to find out what happened to Eva Flores. Let me tell you this - the ending (while makes sense now) is not what I expected. I also really like the underlying message about how someone portrays themselves either in person or via social media usually isn’t the whole story. The cast of characters was diverse but believable. I really enjoyed the audiobook version of Burying Eva Flores and would recommend it to anyone interested in this novel.
