This book immediately gets into the action and I really appreciate that. The tension ramps up and honestly doesn't stop until the very end. The only reason I didn't rate it higher is it felt a little YA for me and is absolutely NOT a horror book. A thriller for sure, but no horror. The characters aren't as dumb as you might expect given the synopsis which is refreshing. I also liked the comparison to a choose-your-own-adventure book, I always loved those. If you're wanting a fast, action-packed thriller, I would recommend this one.
