i was surprised at how fast the plot picked up but i think it was actually a smart choice and it didn't drag on too long

I read it in one sitting, thought it moved along nicely. I felt the ending was a little rushed. I caught my self skimming the pages toward the middle. All in all a great shorter book that can hold your attention.

Solid 3.5 ✨ the beginning really held me in its grip. I was absolutely terrified. Then it started to become a little predictable towards the end. I was able to figure out who was one of the perpetrators pretty quickly, which is the only reason I deducted half a star.

Have you ever read a book that was unenjoyable but had just enough of storyline that you suffered through it just to see how it would end? Then, the book ends and you were still like… “meh”. Unfortunately, that was Run on Red for me. Thank goodness it was a short book overall - because I’d have likely DNF’d it.

It had so much potential, and started off so well but with the non-existent character depth, and lack of backstory it was hard to get into the characters or the plot. Also it was basically a two hour time period spread out over a 300 page book, so definitely dragged.

Look, that being said, a lot of people really liked this book, but I personally found it a bit boring and unrealistic. It’s an easy read though so if you’re on the fence, give it a go. One thing I’ve learned about Bookstagram is that everyone’s taste is different so don’t let me turn you off!
