“Frisk” is book two of the George Miles Cycle. I still wasn’t as drawn in as I would have liked, but still enjoyed it.

I expected George to be in this book, but he isn’t other than maybe the occasional nameless reference.

So far, for me, the desire and affection for these boys isn’t as apparent as in “The Sluts”. The language is more sparse and it’s leaving me wanting more. Maybe that’s the point?

yet again, and even more this time, i am completely in love with dennis cooper’s writing style. it easily flows and yet can be incredibly shocking in it’s simplicity sometimes with the way that he writes in detail. i first read ’the sluts’ by this author and was amazed when i finished it, and then reading this one which is written as a typical book as opposed to postings on a site, again i was in awe.

looking at the content of this story, i love the non-linear development of characters from a certain point of view. i love the way that cooper writes stories within stories. i plan to continue reading his books as i am always left wanting more after each. fantastic.

I like how much cooper holds back in this compared to his other work. You don’t get what you want; it remains in fantasy. A few scenes in this I really, really liked
