You Can Kill is a measured, methodical read that’ll send chills down your spine!
Rebecca Zanetti steps up her game in this new Laurel Snow novel. Where Slayers gonna slay slay slay and Huck and Laurel are finding it harder and harder to shake off the clouds of dread hanging over their newfound happiness. This new string of killings is cutting a swath through the area and Laurel’s support system, isolating her from everyone and everything, including her job security… and her safety. No one gets out unscathed.
The storyline is intense, more complex, and jaw-dropping than its predecessors. The villain is almost supernatural in their duplicity. The suspense will have you by the throat. The book is aptly named. The ending will have you shook. I invite any thriller-loving reader to pick up the Laurel Snow series! You won’t be disappointed.

I have read every book in this series so far, and they have been very enjoyable. The one complaint that I had with the series is the relationship with Laurel, Abigail and their father seemed to drag on and had extensive foreshadowing, but nothing ever seemed to progress. I am happy to relate that this story does move things forward a lot more. This is a hit series for me and I look forward to the future books!

Another knock out of the park for Zanetti. This series is fantastic. Laurel & Huck are investigating some grisly murders where he becomes the prime suspect while psycho Abigail & pastor Zeke are creating havoc in Laurel's life. Murder, mayhem, & psychological warfare keeps the story taut and edge of your seat.

Why am I still reading this. The author didn't pay attention to her own details. Continuity errors abound. Also why not just set this story in a region with the climate she wanted for the story? Quebec would be perfect. Or change a frozen river murder to a frozen lake instead? Moving water around here isn't cold enough to freeze thick enough to walk on.
The first book had SO many conflicts of interest that didn't matter at all. Why do they suddenly become important now? I was just going with it that in this weird alternate universe, our main character being related to all the suspects, was not a huge deal for some reason. But no the rules just change all of a sudden. Did it add drama? Not Really.
She's Uber rich and just sent everybody in danger on a nice vacation. Great strategy, but not a great book plot. With the villains being geniuses I expected them to anticipate this move and at least try to stop things going as planned. But nothing happened. What a wasted opportunity to actually do some bigger story.
If Laurel is truly a genius, she would have anticipated what her sister's reactions and motivations would be, based on what information she revealed during her investigation. She was a behavior analyst after all. Everything she told Abigail, therefore, must have been designed to incite her to rage and act out. So which sister is the bigger villain?
