i would almost give this 4 stars, but it was really VERY dark. even darker than gone girl. it was short, but very compelling. i read the whole thing in about 2 days. i thought i saw the end coming, but was actually surprised, so that's always enjoyable.

Deeply disturbing in a way that you can’t stop reading it wondering where it’s going to go. Ultimately amounted to a rushed ending though for me - I would have liked a little further story on what happened with everyone after.
