This book is another in a long line of internet-based-confessional-anonymous-post-your-secret-or-your-interesting-story-participate-in-this-twee-project-blah-blah works. I think the form is pretty much done to death, but this particular collection was well curated and engaging throughout. This is as good a book in the genre as you're going to find. Flip through it with a person you love, and you'll probably have a pretty good time.

What I like about this is that it's not intimidating to think about doing some of these art projects yourself. Take a photo of underneath your bed. Write your life story in 24 hours. And there is a cumulative effect to looking at them all in a book.

Quite the lovely project, Learning to Love You More is an artistic crowdsourcing project in the vein of PostSecret. Definitely makes me want to do some of the assignments (although I was disappointed that many cannot be completed by everyone; e.g. "take a photo of your bald spot" or "take a photo of your parents kissing"). Overall, very creative and inspiring - makes me want to visit the website more often.

Emotionally succinct. This made me laugh and got me all choked up at the same time. I like people more after reading this.

I can't wait to read this. I participated in one of the projects on the website and want to do more. Such a great idea.

more images, photography and drawings than essays and text but it occurred to me that this was written in 2007 (well before high volume usage of instagram, tumblr, etc. and i use those examples as they are image-based platforms).

very compelling how creatives expressed their "art" and world viewpoints during this time. the age of the digital camera and myspace and word-of-mouth trends (probably idk i was 8). very interesting scope into the lives of other people through this medium (ex: having people submit their favourite childhood books from around the world, have people give advice to kids). makes me wish we had a form of social media that was more fueled by creativity and fascination for others.
