A wonderful book that not only explores all kinds of poetic forms, but also tells a story. I'm adding this to my classroom library wishlist!

This book is a fantastic compilation of poems and a rhyming story. The boy in the book cannot stop talking in rhyme and rhythm. His story continues on each page with a poem about what he sees or is doing. The poems are different examples of poetic forms - acrostic, cinquain, couplet, haiku, limerick. Not familiar enough with these poetic forms, no problem! There is a glossary and a definition page in the page. Each poetic form is described and then lists the corresponding page the poem was featured on. Fantastic text to have in classrooms!

Ingenious manner of presenting narrative poetry. I was particularly enthralled by the varying styles of text and how it all came together so seamlessly. Must read.

This book is bursting with so much energy I thought the narrator would fly off the page! I loved the variety of poems and the informative guide to poetic forms at the end, but was a little distracted by the fact that poems broke up the narration, forcing me to pause mid-story to read each one.

Like the variety of poetic styles used and the glossary included at the end.
