I am really enjoying this series of fairytale retellings. This is the story of Rudolf and Portia and a love that is meant to be. There is lots of adventure and heartbreak and battles to keep you reading till the end. I look forward to more of these.

This was a clever, unique retelling of the Three Little Pigs set in the fairytale world Demelza Carlton has created. The characters were interesting and well developed, and I enjoyed following Rudolf’s story further. The plot kept my interest, though I do wish the number of years that had passed was mentioned so that we could have a better understanding of how long Rudolf was gone. Overall, I really loved the story and the elements of the Three Little Pigs that were woven into a realistic tale. As a caution, there were a couple of intimate scenes.

I like that these medieval fairytale retellings can be standalone. This one is the retelling of the three little pigs on the pigs are princesses. It was a quick listen the narrator did a good job.
