This was kind of like reading a hallmark film, which would’ve been even more enjoyable during the holiday season. It was a cute, quaint, quick read.

3.5/5. This book was an entertaining Christmas read, but pretty average within the rom com genre. Most of these stars are for Belle the Great Dane, who was by far my favorite character.

Overall cute. A little slow to start but I liked getting a look into all four POVs. The writing got a little cheesy especially when writing the dialogue of children. Mostly I’m just mad that it came to such an abrupt end. We didn’t really get to experience either of the couples actually together.

This book is about a small town and family traditions. The bookstore is named Yule Read Books. And, a gift-wrapping store! More paper please! Wrap Around the Clock. Oh, wait! It has private party rooms!

No snowman decorations are allowed until the first snow, which is celebrated.

"There's nothing wrong with you. You're strong and smart and brave and beautiful." What every woman needs to hear.

Quick Summary: Now, this is how you write a beautiful romance. I genuinely loved this book. I thought that the author did a great job of showing diverse family dynamics. Each story was uniquely different, but at the same time they were so well connected together. I found myself drawn into the emotions and struggles of each relationship represented. The tension that existed with each couple was so well crafted; I couldn't help but cheer for them and hope that things worked out all the way around.

The Christmas Wedding Guest is the first book in this new series from author, Susan Mallery. While, I may not have been in "love" with this book, I did find the people that I was introduced to charming and look forward to getting to know more people better in Wishing Tree.

I liked sisters, Reggie and Dena. Although, my favorite is Dena. I applaud her for independent attitude. Plus, she was so likable and I connected with her instantly. I did like Reggie too. The second chance romance is sweet.

While, I did like this book, I felt like there times when it seemed to be wordy without much happening or progression in the story. Yet, I am still a fan of Susan and her books.
