A fun destination horror romp, like a beach read for slasher fans. I enjoyed the dark humour and changing POVs of several women who are part of a reality dating show à la The Bachelor. It was short, fast-paced and satisfying. Listening to it as a full cast audio book was especially entertaining, at times it felt like I was almost watching the reality show itself devolving into weird chaos. It scratched that same silly reality tv itch with a big helping of WTF for good measure. I only wished the author explored more of "her," but overall, a delightful horror read!

This was an interesting read, because it felt like I was reading a horror film (in a cool way). I wish it was a little longer to explain a few more things, but I believe it's so we can leave it up to our imagination about what actually happened and why.

This was a gripping read. I don’t read a lot of horror or gore but I was thoroughly glued to the page. The characters are all pretty morally grey and unlikeable, and I enjoyed the exploration of the reality TV genre.

A disastrous queer awakening crossed with a slasher where the killer is bigfoot. Lighthearted in parts and seriously chilling in others, this book does an excellent job of mocking elements of reality show dating and horror tropes while still catering to people who enjoy them.
My only criticism that keeps this from being a 5 is that Renee's character is revealed to us a lot slower than the others. She's framed as a main character but we know very little about her motivations and true feelings until close to the end. This doesn't appear to have been for the purpose of drama either. Just a little something that bothered me. Still an absolutely fantastic 4 star read and I would recommend it to any horror fan I know.

super fun, witty, and ironic. the audiobook cast was pretty good. the end moved quickly and the epilogue was an appropriate end. the letters could have been executed better but otherwise it was really fun and entertaining.

Imagine the Bachelor where the penultimate episode takes place on an island in the PNW where a fenale sasquatch lives and has a desire for drama, and you'd get this book. Wish the
group of women who know and sustain? patricia were explained more
but it was still a fast, enjoyable read.
