I complained in the previous review that we didn't see enough processing from Kal about what happened on Ansyz, but this lays my fears to rest.
Scared of what could happen to any other populated worlds Kal visits, he plays it safe - visiting only dead and decaying worlds. Tria pushes him to explore a strange world they've found, in order to get over what happened on Ansyz.
Instead they find a crazy world of paradoxes, which renders Kal's pad unusable. Kal and Tria must work together in order to escape.
