I liked this continuation of the Red Rising saga. I found the cast of characters hard to keep up with sometimes but there were helpful recalls throughout the book. I liked the 10-year time jump and seeing how complex the world and government was after the rebellion and wars. Can’t wait for the next book.

Voyeuristic and puerile. This is basically suffering porn. 

The only three plot elements are: 1. Everything gets worse; 2. I can't believe they killed that character; and 3. The hero "saves the day" via deus ex machina (even though pretty much everybody is dead.)
