I loved the dialogue among the characters and the quick pace of the story. Mellow certainly dragged us into her world, but I wish she would have not been so... condescending with the father? So righteous and just and he knows best even when he's doing something bad. I'm excited to understand the characters' different magic and can't wait to read book 2.

This book was beautifully written. The author did a great job at writing in eloquent language and beautifully describing everything happening without it seeming slow or redundant. I loved the banter between family members and the main character. I hope the other books follow the other two sisters.

Loved how the romantic interest took the damsel role for most of the story as well as the main character and her sisters! The plot seemed to suddenly pick up and rush for the last twenty percent, and the threat level was never even slightly high- I never worried for any main character. Still a very enjoyable read!
