Solid FMC, but other characters didnt feel very fleshed out. The writing was verbose at times, and i feel like the book could have benefitted from being a bit less long winded in parts.

Debut novel that knows what it wants to be but for me, just hasnt gotten there. Maybe this one just wasnt for me, didnt enjoy the romantic subplot at all, didnt feel like there was any chemistry between them not even as enimies.

I loved this storytelling, world building/politics, and character development better than I like Fourth Wing/Iron Flame. The romance felt more realistic and the stakes felt higher!
