I was excited for more on the B.P.R.D. and frog-men storylines that were established in Hellboy: Seed of Destruction, but this collection doesn't do a lot to distinguish itself, at least not until the final issue which does end the collection on a high note.  It's possible the final issue indicates that the series is improving, but my interest has been satisfied and this one volume will probably be it for me.

I quite enjoyed this! Both the story and the art are moody and atmospheric, spooky and creepy, and those frog men are disturbing! This story arc gives us a back story for Abe, which was interesting, and Johann is always fun. Seriously, all I can think about are those frog men now, I'll probably have nightmares about them - thanks, Mignola.
