The Dandelion Dynasty is the greatest series I have ever read.
Just for context, I've read quite a lot of series (mostly fantasy ones) over the last several years. Here's a (non-comprehensive) list:
Lord of the Rings
Harry Potter
A Song of Ice and Fire
The Wheel of Time
Stormlight Archive
Mistborn (both eras)
Red Rising (both eras)
The Greenbone Saga
The Poppy War
The Kingkiller Chronicle
The Gentlemen Bastards Sequence
The Dark Tower
The Age of Uprising
The Burning
The First Law trilogy
The Broken Earth trilogy
The Davaebad trilogy
The Elements of Cadence duology
While I thoroughly enjoyed the vast majority of these series, the Dandelion Dynasty tops them all. Why? To put it as simply as possible: I think it achieved everything it set out to do in the best ways possible.
The worldbuilding is exceptional, the use of technological innovation was riveting (and this is from someone who usually could care less about technology), the many themes discussed were done so in a tactful way and were VERY applicable to modern life, the twists and turns of the plot were thrilling and unpredictable, and most importantly, the characters were BRILLIANT.
No spoilers here, but the final scene of this book had me in tears. Apparently Ken is not much of an outliner, but he DID know that the series would end with this scene from the start, and it packed an emotional punch that was earned in spades.
I couldn't be happier that I read this series and cannot recommend it highly enough! Do yourself a favor and read it! ♥️♥️

This series is epic in every sense of the word. I loved the final book - a fitting end to a grand journey.
