I love the mix of traditional Japanese culture alongside the multiple styles of magic from each of our protagonist's worlds. Mostly, I just love Sakura and Sayoren's relationship and to watch it in a new lens is a delight.
Was considering this for my middle school students but apparently it gets fairly violent after volume 6.
I am liking the story so far. I really got immersed in it and liked the characters. Hope for more spotlight and development for Sakura. Full of action. We traveled our first new world-Henshin (I feel like it is China-like country). We learned what Kudan is, too. Interesting concept, Kudan being some kind of God and protecting his human. The ending was heartbreaking. Syaoran, don't worry. She is going to fall in love with you again!
PS: I watched the anime and Yuki Kajiura did the music! (She did the music for Pandora Hearts). I love her compositions!

I really enjoyed this one. The fighting looked awesome and am excited Sakura is awake.

I like the main characters in this series very much - both the new versions of Sakura and Li, and Fai and Kurogane. CLAMP has also created interesting worlds for them to visit.

This volume is very monster-of-the-week. But it's fun and a good introduction to the multi-verse aspect of the series.
In this volume we have the conclusion of the story in the second world and Sakura gets another of her feathers. Reaching the third world, they come across a new threat (the costumes are so cute and the shots they have on the horses are gorgeous- plus it's so cute that Sakura is supposed to be Fai's sister). The group has to investigate the legend of the golden haired princess and the disappearance of the town's children when Sakura is also kidnapped. After the end of this adventure, they visit a new world. The world seems peaceful and cute at first but it's full of monsters. Syaoran has to learn how to use a sword in order to fight them and protect the person he loves the most. The kitten and puppy jokes are really cute. I adore all the interactions between Fai and Sakura and Fai and Kurogane. But in this volume there is one of the most heartbreaking scenes as well. As Sakura is about to remember Syaoran the magic strikes her and she immediately forgets what she wanted to say. It's just so painful. As painful as the scene in volume 1.
