I enjoyed this more than I did book 1... more action and more revelations. It started right where book 1 ended which was a pleasant surprise. Suspicions in book 1 were kind of confirmed but more secrets and questions arose in book 2... let's see what book 3 brings!

Dahlia is still in the competition and she doesn’t know why. By all rights, she should have been eliminated in the first round, never making it this far. She isn’t the only one surprised that she is still in the running, as her custodian, Mira, is as well.
Regardless, training resumes and Dahlia hopes to keep fighting to live yet another day. But, secrets are running amok and Dahlia happens to find herself landing in the middle of them every time.
The Prince has a darkness in him that contrasts the nature that Dahlia is drawn too. It scares her and despite their secret words and numerous meetings, she feels like there are two Sides to the Prince and she isn't sure which one is real.
Is he warm and inviting, wanting to get to know her?
Or is he cold and indifferent, wishing her away from him?
The darkness is coming into the light, and Dahlia is the only one who can do anything.
The sequel to "Taken: The coldest Fae" was just as good as the first. With this book picking up right after the first ended, you were thrown right back into the action. There was no slow build up like the first book with the world building.
I like when a sequel starts off right in the gist of things, There was no unnecessary re-capping or telling you information that you already know over again which was a plus. I find it happens far to often with smaller Writers and while I do see in some cases it being beneficial, to me its just irritating.
The curtain gets pulled back more in this book and while there is some more world building that occurs, it doesn’t feel like it is retconning any information you already know, it's simply expanding on the known setting.
Things also start to heat up between the prince and Dahlia and he still believes she is his perfect soulmate.
I am eager for book three and getting to the bottom of the mysteries introduced.

New important characters: Melina, Aronia
Another completely alright book. I thought I knew what this series will be written like, but then shocking scenes were there. I did not expect the nsfw parts, at all.
But I´m not surprised to see that she is also Fae. I would like to guess that her three mothers were some kind of fairy godmothers and that they knew and they surpressed her magic.

I couldn't get through this one it was bit boring for me. I ended up skipping to the last chapter to read the ending of the book.
