This was one of the better Brennan books. It was really sad, but it was fast paced. I liked the interaction between Brennan and Ryan, and of course Brennan and Pete. I thought Ollie was skeevy. not a fan. I did miss Birdy, but I think the travel in this one was fun and Bird would not have approved.

It’s been a few years since I’ve stopped reading this series. I listened on audio and was a little disappointed with the quality. I had to speed it up substantially to sound like someone’s actual talking speed. Plus I heard every draw of breath from the narrator. Audiobooks sure have improved since this was done.
The plot was ok. I neither disliked nor liked so it’s a 2 for me. It was good to get reacquainted with some characters again and I love the fact that it’s set in Canada with some Canadian facts and history provided. I am looking forward to reading the next one in the series at some point.

Rounding up to three stars, but this wasn’t my fave. Actually, this was a slog to audiobook.

Story took us to Yellowknife in Northwest Territories and explored the diamond trade. The forensic was as always very accurate and an interesting part for me. Really enjoy this serie.

I've read every book in this series and one of the things that I enjoy is that you not only get sucked into a great mystery, you also learn information around the content of the mystery. In this story, the background is around how diamonds are found, the origination of the exploration and mining for the diamonds, as well as the history of diamond mining in Canada.

I always enjoy the plot twists in turns in Reichs writing, but I also enjoy learning about topics that I probably would like encounter or research for any other reason.

Another good contribution to the Temperance Brennan series. I'm still rooting for Brennan and Ryan! :)

A solid 4 out of 5 stars!

Am I close to being done with this series? YES, YES I AM.

You'd think by book fifteen, I would know what Temperance Brennan does for a living. Nope, I was so shocked that she was a forensic anthropologist guys! I hope I get reminded again, and again, in the next four books.

Bones Are Forever was just an annoying book to read. Tempe is just starting to annoy me all the time now. Ryan wasn't much better in my eyes either. This book, thankfully, did give a couple of good twists in it. The deaths get more disturbing in each book, just like the show, but they are the sole reason I am here.

Even though I loved the show with all it's flaws and characters - the books are just "meh" in my eyes now. Every once in a while, I'll get a book that I absolutely love.. and then I get disappointed by the one after that.

Other than all of that, it's like these books have sections here or there that have so much info dumping. I wouldn't mind if it was something interesting.. but it never it is! I do, however, know a lot about diamond mining now. Too bad I have no one I want to tell about it.

Overall, I would like less info dumping, less reminding me of her job - I get it!, and more interesting twists.
