I went in with zero expectations and ended up really enjoying this book. A reminder that all heroes are humans with flaws, and everyone has a secret they’re hiding.

One of the first thoughts I had about this book was ‘I don’t need to read the sequel’. It started off slow and tedious, but the last half of the book was well written, tense, and difficult to put down. Fully recommend, but totally understand if people DNF.
